Digital switchover

When will the analogue signal be switched off?
Switchover is happening in different TV regions between 2008 and 2012. Most of the country has already switched and only South East England (including London), Tyne Tees, Meridian or Northern Ireland remain to be switched in 2012.

Check here for a schedule of switchover dates.

Are radios affected by switchover?
After switchover AM and FM analogue radio signals will continue to be broadcast. At present there are no plans to stop this.  Going digital with an iDTV, set top box or digital TV recorder does however mean that you can receive many new digital radio stations through your TV.

Who do I complain to about switchover?
Complaints about switchover should be made via Ofcom, the regulating authority for telecommunications and broadcasting services. Here are their contact details

tel 0845 456 3000
www.ofcom.org.uk

However if you just need help with switchover you should contact Digital UK.

tel 0845 650 5050
