Adapting your browser
The site works best with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 and later versions,
set at a screen resolution of 800 x 600 or better. It has been tested
on the following browsers:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 5
- Netscape Communicator Netscape 6 upwards
- Mozilla Firefox 1.0.7 upwards
- Opera 7.11 upwards
Increasing Font size
Font size on this site can be easily changed by clicking on AAA at the
top right corner – the larger the A you click, the larger the
type will be.
If you want to increase the size of fonts on all web sites you look at,
use the following instructions:
To change the size of fonts
| Internet Explorer 5.x and above |
Open the Tools menu on your web browser. Select Internet Options.
Click General at the top of the page. Click Accessibility.
Select Ignore font styles specified on Web pages.
Once you have done this you will be able to resize text by opening the View menu,
selecting the Text size option, and selecting the font size you wish
to use. |

Open the View menu, select Text Zoom (Netscape) or Text Size (Firefox),
and increase or decrease the font size you wish to use. |
Simplifying the colour of sites
If you want to use different colours on this and other sites:

Open the Tools menu, select Internet Options. Click General at
the top of the page. Click Accessibility. Select Ignore
colours specified on Web pages. |

Open the Edit menu, select Preferences. Under Appearance,
click Colours. (If no subcategories are visible, double-click
the category to expand the list.) In the area titled When a webpage
provides its own colours and background, select Use my chosen
colours, ignoring the colours specified. You can alter the default
colours in the area titled Text and Background and Link Colours. |

Open the Tools menu, select options. In the left side vertical
menu select the General tab. Then in the central panel select
the
Fonts & Colours option. This will open a new window
in which you can alter the default colours and font settings. To
apply these settings tick the Fonts and Colours options
at the bottom of the window in the section labelled Always use my: |
Removing images
If you want to look at this and other sites without pictures (downloading will
be faster and this may work better with some screen readers):

Open the Tools menu, select Internet Options, and select Advanced at
the top of the page. Under Accessibility select, Always expand
ALT text for images. Scroll down to the Multimedia section,
and deselect Show pictures. |

Open the Edit menu and select Preferences. Under the Privacy & Security
category, click Images. (If no subcategories are visible,
double-click the category to expand the list.) Select do not
accept any images. |

Open the Tools menu, select options. In the left side vertical
menu select the Web Features tab. Then in the central panel
